The coronavirus pandemic had little impact on the Campeau Drive expansion project which has continued to progress towards its October 2021 completion date.
The highly anticipated roadway extension will connect Campeau Drive from Didsbury Road to Country Glen Drive and will feature new sidewalks and street lighting.
A major element of the project is the construction of a Carp River bridge, which will connect the existing road with Didsbury Rd. on the other side of the waterway. The bridge will be outfitted with barrier curbs between bikes and vehicles as well as four traffic lanes and a median.
