CMC Microsystems’ Peter Stokes took the stage at Tech Tuesday, a monthly meetup held at the Marshes, to discuss the latest innovations in microchip technology and highlight that the not-for-profit is back and open for business.

CMC Microsystems nearly shut its doors in 2018 following government funding cuts. But recently announced changes to science and innovation funding has secured the future of the Kingston-based organization.

With a satellite facility in Ottawa, CMC Microsystems has continued to work with local and national startups and more mature tech firms, as well as post-secondary institutions, to help design, manufacture and test chips.
