The strength of Kanata’s tech sector will be on full display this week as dozens of growing firms descend on the Brookstreet Hotel Wednesday for one of the region’s largest job fairs.

Nearly 1,400 people have already registered for this year’s edition of Discover TechNATA, with organizers expecting hundreds more walk-up attendees.

Attendees can expect to see a combination of more than 70 tech giants and startups sharing the exhibition space as they scout for the region’s top talent and exhibit the latest hardware and software.

Additionally, Ottawa’s Willis College is slated to make an announcement about a new scholarship for women in tech at Discover TechNATA after 1 p.m.

Dubbed a “tech expo and talent hunt,” the event aims to connect those seeking employment in the tech industry, as well as general business sectors, with leaders and employers from local businesses.

Job seekers can register now for the free show, held at the Brookstreet on March 28 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
