There will be a new addition to the Kanata North Business Association team come September 2020. Long-time tech park employee Victoria McGlone will take on the role of chief operating officer, a position previously held by Veronica Farmer.

Leaning on several years of experience in the local tech sector, McGlone will begin ramping up her work with KNBA over the summer, taking on the full-time position in the fall.

McGlone moved to Canada from Wales roughly a decade ago to work in Kanata North’s tech sector and most recently served as the director of sales at Veem. She previously worked for companies including Toushay, Titus and InitLive. Her passion for startups, innovation and long standing commitment to the area made her an ideal candidate for the role, says Jamie Petten, president of the KNBA.

McGlone says that businesses need the support, help and guidance of the KNBA and wider community more than ever as they navigate the unique challenges and opportunities of 2020.

“I am excited to draw upon my experience as we continue to support our businesses, attract talent, foster innovation and ultimately, grow Canada’s largest tech park.”
