Two members of the Kanata North tech park community are once again finding themselves on a list of the country’s fastest-growing companies – a sign that the technology sector in Kanata has no intention of cooling down.

Both Martello and RBR are return names on the Globe and Mail’s second annual list of the country’s fastest-growing firms that ranks 400 companies from across Canada based on revenue growth over the last three years.

Martello, which came in at No. 205 on the list, designs software to support cloud-based services and monitors the performance and productivity of the tools to ensure its clients are getting the best user experience. The company reported a 197 per cent growth in revenue over the last three years.

RBR also reported a strong year last year, with more than $10 million in revenue – putting the company at a 71 per cent growth rate over the last three years and ranking it 386th on the list.

The company –  which designs water temperature sensor technology –  started in its founder’s basement in 1973, and now sits at more than 60 employees who work closely with oceanographers and those looking to understand and combat climate change.
