A local bird supply store, set to open in Kanata in July, is celebrating its move to the community – and the beautiful summer weather – by hosting lunch-and-learn bird watching activities for companies in the tech park.
Wild Birds Unlimited is inviting local businesses to join its staff in learning more about the local species of birds in the area as well as the mental health benefits of bird watching through its new initiative, The Joy of Birdfeeding with Kindell and Joshua Tolmie.
So far, the company has partnered up with tech firms You.i TV and Solace for lunchtime sessions, with more in the works.
The husband-and-wife duo are looking to share their love of birds with the community, while offering some helpful tips on conservation, attracting local birds to individual yards and integrating birdwatching into everyday life.
